Peace Memorial Columbarium

The Peace Memorial Columbarium is a fitting symbol to commemorate our  peace-loving predecessors who, in pursuit of the lofty ideals of justice, sacrificed their lives. This newly constructed Columbarium – located on the high ground above the 9-1 Martyrs Monument, from where on both sides, slabs of white stone-steps majestically ascend to it – commands, on looking down, a vista that embraces the Malayan Anti-Japanese Heroes Monument and, on lifting one’s head, a vast expanse embracing green hills, blue skies and white cloud.

Water Village

The design and layout of Xiao En Water Village is based on the traditions of water village in Jiang-Su, China, where buildings are randomly sited along the water path to form a friendly community and a harmonious feng-shui environment with emphasis on cultural and artistic inheritance. The columbarium is spacious, bright, peaceful and serene. More importantly, all these buildings share the same characteristics of meticulous planning and quality finishing.

The Quadrangle Court

A quadrangle is a compound with rows of rooms built in the 4 directions of east, south, west, and north in order to form a square inner courtyard at the centre. Hence, this is called a Quadrangle. Residents living together within the central of a square frame indicate that insiders respect and care for each other as they feel that they belong to the same family tree.
