Kedah JES Learning Centre’s Teachers and Students Reflect on “Embracing Life in the Face of Death”
At 4 a.m., teachers and students of the JES Learning Centre in Kedah set off in a bus for a 6-hour journey. Arriving at Xiao En Centre in Kuala Lumpur, they immediately embarked on a half-day tour session of ” Embracing Life In The Face of Death ” Once the tour concluded, they made the long journey back home, forgoing a moment to rest.
The determination and resolve of the teachers and students towards their learning goals deeply moved us. The “Life Practitioners” on the frontlines of the funeral industry did not rest either. On Saturdays, the life practitioners returned to their duties to provide sincere guidance to the bereaved, engaging with death in their daily lives, handling the remains of the departed via clinical care, funeral rites, comforting families, and being silent mentors. Everything from start to finish, nothing is overlooked.
Guiding the teachers and students on a tour to ” Embracing Life In The Face of Death ” Self-exploration and reflection, and finally a rebirth to see the world anew.
In just half a day of gathering, there were laughter and tears, but we’ve become more honest with ourselves and able to cherish each day that follows. We hope that everyone can spread this sentiment to every corner of the world.
