Xiao En Enlightenment Ceremony 2017 <HOPE and LOVE> Theme
Cross – over art collaboration with Sunway University and Master Goh Ah Ang
Nilai, Seremban (1 Sept 2017) – Xiao En will be organising its annual Enlightenment Ceremony at Xiao En Memorial Park, Nilai, from 1- 3 September 2017. With its conviction of “LOVE and HOPE” as its core branding value, Xiao En Group delivers the message of HOPE and LOVE through the power of art. By agreeing on Xiao En’s <HOPE & LOVE> theme, the Sunway University School of Arts, and Master Goh Ah Ang create their very own art painting to express their thoughts of <HOPE & LOVE> in conjunction with Xiao En Enlightenment Ceremony 2017.
‘I Hope I Love’ Artwork by Sunway University
Augustine Wong, the Head of Department of School of Art & Design, Sunway University, quoted that this art project collaboration is very interesting and meaningful, as the students can use their talents and the opportunity to convey Xiao En’s core branding message <I HOPE, I LOVE> through the power of art illustration. It is a great platform and also an extraordinary collaboration where both are from different industries, to interpret the real core value of ‘I Hope, I Love’ in the form of art.
A gigantic 8ft x 16ft artwork will be displayed at Xiao En Memorial Park, Nilai, during the Enlightenment Ceremony. The artwork will be given a touch of 3D effects to make a more dramatic and realistic flower art.
The flower masterpiece will also be transformed into postcards. The public may buy the beautiful postcard, write a special message to deliver to their preferred address of their loved ones. To make the event even more meaningful, the total amount of the postcard purchased will be donated to the Silent Mentor Project. Xiao En will also show its support by sponsoring all the postage cost of the postcards, giving the whole art charity initiative even more meaning.
“HOPE & LOVE” Art Painting by Master Goh Ah Ang
Besides the Sunway University School of Art’s art board “I HOPE I LOVE”, Xiao En is honoured to have Master Goh Ah Ang to draw an oil painting for Xiao En Enlightenment Ceremony.
The 4ft (W) x 3ft (H) art piece uses art elements of space and time to create an interactive dialogue about love and hope. It also captures the vitality and meaning of life. Looking out the ‘window’ from inside is the nature’s greenery, creating a harmony of life and hope. From the perspective of the outside looking in, comes a feeling of warmth and love, and gratitude for life’s wonderful blessings. Xiao En will also print Master Goh Ah Ang’s painting into a giant masterpiece 12ft (W) x 32ft (H) to be displayed in front of Xiao En Temple during Enlightenment Ceremony 2017.
Goh Ah Ang is a renowned artist with an illustrious career in the Chinese arts scene. He founded the Top Art School in 1979.
