Xiao En All Souls Day 2018 Ceremony
[Nilai, Negeri Sembilan – 2 Nov 2018] Xiao En hold its yearly All Souls Day event at Xiao En Memorial Park, Nilai on 2nd November 2018. All Souls Day is a yearly ceremony for the Catholics to perform prayers for the souls of their loved ones. Through the prayer and good works, living members of the church could pray for their departed friends and family to remove the stain of sin and allow the souls to enter the pearly gates of heaven.
This year service was animated by Father Eugene Benedict, Father Nicholas and Father Kenneth from Church of St Theresa. Asides from the All Souls’ Day prayer services, Xiao En Group has created a beautiful garden set up with variety of flowers arrangement to brighten up the meaningful ceremony. There is a total of 400 guests attending the meaningful event, prayed for their deeply departed loved ones.
Upon the Father’s arrivals, the Catholics guests visited the graves of their loved ones, where the Fathers went to each individual graves and columbarium to do the blessing using holy water.
After the blessing ceremony, all participants would proceed to Xiao En’s garden area for the “Mass of All Souls Day” prayers and hymns. Xiao En All Souls Day 2018 ended with a simple balloon release ceremony, followed by a simple lunch offered to the guests.
